Friends of the Earth maiden voyage

Jonathan Crinion's state-of-the-art yacht - named Friends of the Earth has reached the island of Madeira. It set sail from Cape Town, South Africa at the start of June.

The yacht is a showcase for some of the technological solutions to climate change.

The Class 40 yacht will continue its maiden voyage to Falmouth, UK where it is due to arrive in October.
